Introduction to the basic principles/health needs for living an active and healthy life in order to grow and develop.
In this week’s Integrated Inquiry Workshop students brainstormed
ideas for what it meant to live a healthy, active and safe life.
Students drew pictures and wrote about ways in which they and
their families live healthy and active lives and shared these with one another.
Students created role plays (mimes) of an action (riding a bike, brushing their teeth, looking both ways when crossing street) that promoted a healthy life. Other students had to guess what they were doing.
In Literacy Workshops students
were introduced to the non-fiction genre this week and shared a text about ways
to stay healthy and safe. They discussed why they need to do these things (help grow and develop).
* Due to images of the children unable to be posted on the blog, we encourage you to have a look through our Inquiry Documentation Book located on the bookshelf in the courtyard. We invite you to make comments in this book about our Inquiry.
