Today was the day the Teddy Bears had their Picnic!

What a wonderful Teddy Bears Picnic we had today. The weather was perfect! Thankyou for preparing the snacks that students brought today to share at the picnic. Thankyou also to those parents who came along to supervise this morning.
The children really enjoyed playing on the equipment, singing teddy bear songs, sharing teddy bear stories and of course eating all the wonderful food with their teddies! The picnic was not without drama of course when one of the 101 dalmations decided to gatecrash our picnic! Thankfully all the parents were there to save our snacks and teddy bears!

In the afternoon the children enjoyed watching the short film The Gruffalo all together in Prep Luisa's room, which can be made dark like the real cinemas! This was a particularly special treat for Prep Amanda's class who have spent a lot of time reading Julia Donaldson books, the author of
The Gruffalo.

The Teddy Bear's Picnic was a great way to end off our first term together in Prep and conclude our Inquiry into Who We Are. Stay tuned to the blog in the holidays for information regarding our new Inquiry for Term 2!
