Week 3 Happenings

Monday 22nd October

On Monday our annual Italian/Visual Arts Day will be occurring. This will be a celebration of language, history and art! This year the day celebrates the diversity of Italy and some of its major cities. Students will be placed in multi-age groups, participating in a variety of activities reflecting the Grand Tour theme. Everyone is urged to dress up: in Italian colours, as famous characters, artists, soccer players, waiters, chefs etc to create an authentic Italian atmosphere.
The day will begin with a costume parade.
Students are encouraged to bring a special small plate of Italian inspired food to share with their peers at lunchtime. Ideas include, pizza, pasta, fruit, gelato, biscotti. Please kepp in mind if you bring pasta you will also need to bring forks and bowls for the children to eat it with. We will be eating in the Prep courtyard all together. We will place the savoury food together and the sweet food together. Eating time will be 11.55am-12.25pm. If parents are available to assist with serving at this time it would be much appreciated. Please no lunch orders on this day!

Reminders:

* Luisa and Annette's library times have changed for this term. Luisa is now on Tuesday and Annette Monday.

* If you can assist with Tabloid Sports in November, please sign your name on the poster located at the front of Year 1 Neighbourhood.

* Please bring in your donations for the Bazaar Hampers. See earlier post for what your class is required to donate.

* Your child must come to school with a wide-brimmed, clearly labelled hat each day this term. If they do not have a hat they may not be able to play with their friends at lunchtime as they are required to sit under the library verrandah. This can be quite distressing for your child, so please remember those hats!
