Next Thursday 6th September, the Prep Neighbourhood will be hosting our annual Prep Grandparent's Day. Students have been busy writing invitations to their Grandparents which may look a little something like this:
Dear Grandma and Grandpa
You are invited to our Prep Grandparent's Day
When: Thursday 6th September
Time: 9.30am-11.00am
Where: (your child's homeroom) Princes Hill Primary School
Bring: Please bring a toy, game or story from when you were little.
If Grandparents are not able to attend we encourage students to invite another special adult in their lives. When the visitors arrive students will take them on a tour of the classroom and courtyard areas. They will share with them a story they have written and show them some of their Play and Inquiry Learning projects and our toy collections. Grandparents will then have time to share something with the students. After this, students will show their Grandparents other areas of the school and lead them to the gymnasium. Here the students will perform a concert for the visitors with our singing teacher Miss Maureen. At the conclusion of the concert, visitors will be invited to stay for a morning tea.
We ask that students please bring a plate of food for the visitors to have with their tea/coffee. This is to be placed in a designated spot in the classroom on Grandparents' Day. Please ensure plates are labelled so they can be returned after the event.
Our Parent Reps have emailed everyone asking for assistance for the morning. If you are available to help please let your Parent Rep know asap.
